Summer Camp

(Altitude: 5000-7500 ft)
9 Nights, 8 Days camp for Children in the mountains (ex-Delhi)

The Summer Camps are designed as a fun place to open up a child’s mind beyond the realms of school books and curriculum.  It encompasses camping, creative workshops (e.g. music, writing, theatre arts), exploring nature and more.  Route Purple helps them explore their creative facets, while also helping the build team spirit and understand nature, camping and trekking etiquettes among other things.  It’s a fiesta amid nature and a learning ground like none other.

Activities:
Creativ-itch: (breakfast till lunch) - long and focused activity sessions (e.g. theatre, creative writing, arts etc).
Each child goes through Creativ-itch activities everyday.  On the last day, they present whatever they have learnt and / or created.

Life Skills & Hobby-nobbing: (lunch till tea time) – short activities designed to expose and stimulate a child to explore and taste a variety of things. (e.g. music, tent pitching, understanding nature, bird or insect watching, forestfire fighting, games, first aid etc.)
There will be a different activity each day.

Own time: (tea time to 5:45pm) – The Participants can do whatever they like at the campus… from playing games to reading, writing or doing nothing.  This may include voluntary activities (e.g. campus news paper,  cleaning up or developing the campsite etc.).

The Twilight insight - At route purple twilight is a very special time.  It is a time to absorb everything that one has lived thru the day.  Children are encouraged to observe nature, watch the sunset or reflect on whatever else they may want to during this time.

Campfire and Dinner – A camp is never complete without a camp fire!  This is where we celebrate the day we had lived.  There is always music, dance and other cultural events in a lighter mood before we tuck in for the night.

The camp philosophy:
Be easy, tolerant and respectful towards each child.
Give them their space and help them find themselves with the pride they deserve.

We also ensure safety and a personal connect with every child by keeping the group size small and having enough responsible instructors and adults at the campsite.
